Business lunch in an hour

The Argentin restaurant in the Fairmont Hotel has come up with an interesting business model to entice more busy executives to lunch. Until recently, the restaurant, famous for its steak and beef dishes, was only open for dinner. But as the tourist season draws to a close, and with an eye on attracting a more loyal and regular clientele, chef Maryan Gandon has introduced a business lunch concept.

But how do you encourage businesses to continue spending in the current climate? Busy executives need to concentrate on managing the effects of the credit crunch crisis, rather than relaxing over lengthy expense meals. So the Argentin is offering gourmet, one hour lunches. For 44 euros, the restaurant will send a car to the office to collect you and your colleagues, and bring you directly to the restaurant. You then have a 2 course menu, including starter or dessert, a main dish, and a coffee. If the lunch isn't served within the hour, then you save your 44 euros and the meal is on the house. After lunch, you're driven back to your office.

It's a win-win situation and sure to lift the spirits of the boss.
