Monaco Telecom's new CEO

New CEO Martin Peronnet has outlined plans to improve telecom services in the Principality.

The new CEO met the press at the beginning of February to outline plans for the coming year. After a shaky start to 2008, when Monaco's Internet connection crashed for 45 minutes in January, Peronnet assured residential and business clients that improvements to Internet services would be seen in the coming months. The company also plans to offer more HD television channels, new content and video on demand.

The top position at Monaco Telecom was vacated by Denis Martin in 2008, when he was promoted to CEO of Cable & Wireless' international Monaco and Islands division. Martin Peronnet took over leadership of Monaco's telecoms monopoly after a lengthy career with Lagardere and Hachette Multimedia, and most recently after 6 years as Services Marketing Director of Bouygues Telecom.
