Television, Internet and mobile integration

Further improvements to the stability of Monaco Telecom's TV box from 14th February.

From tomorrow, a new version of Monaco Telecom's TV box software will be installed automatically. The modifications will allow new services to be introduced during 2011, and should solve some of the problems that users have been experiencing since corrections were made in November 2010.

The DG of Monaco Telecom Martin Peronnet says the current update lays the foundations for integrating TV and Internet. With partner Netgem, the telecoms company hopes to offer new services from June, which will allow customers to access websites such as Flickr, Daily Motion and Facebook from a TV remote control. Looking further into the future, residents of Monaco can expect to be able to set the TV to record programs from their smart phones.
