Prince Albert II is heading for China after 3 days in India.
Prince Albert arrives in China today where he's taking part in Monaco day at the World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. He's accompanied by representatives of the Principality's Government and institutions, including Minister of State Michel Roger.
Earlier in the week Prince Albert was in India for 3 days as a member of the International Olympic Committee to see the opening ceremony of the 19th Commonwealth Games. He also took part in a working meeting with Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, and presented business man Kushal Pal Singh with the Order of Saint Charles. Singh is the Chairman of DLF, the leading property company of India, and has been Honorary Consul of Monaco in New Delhi for 20 years. The Order of St Charles was established in 1858 to reward merit and service Monaco or its Prince.

Today CEO of Monaco Telecom Martin Peronnet is to sign an agreement with the President of China Central Television (CCTV), Li Jian. The deal licenses Chinese TV channels to be broadcast in the Principality.
UPDATE 19th December.
Several members of the Conseil National questioned the cost of sending such a large delegation to Shanghai. According to the Government, the trip cost 146,000 euros which was within the budget for the World Expo.
