Don't forget the elephants

Monaco's boutique wedding planner's biggest challenge yet.

Forget the horse and carriage and the vintage Rolls Royce, the must-have accessory for bride and groom in Monaco this year are elephants. Monte Carlo Weddings is organizing one of the most spectacular weddings seen in the Principality. Specializing in destination weddings, the company is finalizing details for one of its largest events, an Indian wedding with 600 guests over 4 days, taking place from 18th to 21st March. Two elephants with traditional headdresses will be in Casino Square, from where the bridegroom is to ride a white horse to the Hotel Hermitage, followed by a procession. There'll be fireworks, music, and some of the finest Indian cuisine ever to grace Monaco's tables.

For such an important event, Monte Carlo Weddings is also receiving help from the DTC and Monte Carlo SBM. Owner Frank Damgaard has over 25 years in the hospitality business, and over the past 6 years he's built his company into one of the premier boutique wedding planning companies on the Riviera. His business has been featured on WeddingTV‘s show Focus on Monte Carlo, and on an episode of Envoye Special on France 2. Damgaard‘s activities are currently being filmed for an upcoming TV show produced by Metronome.
