50 years of scientific research

The Centre Scientifique de Monaco celebrated its 50th anniversary with a commemorative stamp.

Established 50 years ago by Prince Rainier III, Monaco Scientific Centre (CSM, Centre Scientifique de Monaco) to provide the Principality with the means to carry out oceanographic research and support organizations around the world in protecting and conserving marine life. Since 1989 the main focus of CSM's research has been on marine calcification, primarily corals, and their interactions with the environment.
