Buyer found for Columbus Hotel

London & Regional adds another Monaco hotel to its portfolio.

The Columbus Hotel has been looking for a new owner [1] for at least a year, and now it's found one. UK company London & Regional, which bought the Fairmont in 2007 [2], is taking over the Fontvieille based hotel. Ian Livingstone of London & Regional has said he's pleased to add the Columbus Hotel to the group's portfolio and plans to improve its reputation and profile. According to local newspaper Monaco Matin, this may involve a name change to Swissotel.
