The Venturi Volage new electric sports car was unveiled last week at the Paris Motor Show.
It was developed by both Michelin and Venturi Automobiles, a company that was taken over by Monaco's Gildo Pallanca Pastor in 2001. The vehicle was designed by Sacha Lacik, who's also responsible for the other Venturis, the Fetish, Astrolab and Eclectic. But it's not just a good looking car - it can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, and the driver can change the way the engine behaves on a dashboard touch screen. For example, you can alter the drive so you can go further with less power, or in more comfort with less speed. Only a limited number will be produced, and unlike its predecessor the Fetish, which was assembled by hand in Monaco, the Volage is expected to be assembled in a new workshop in La Sarthe in France. With its combination of luxury, exclusivity, and environmental values, Venturi stands as an ambassador for the Principality.
